Who wants to get wet?!
You don’t have to be a great swimmer to get started! Our entry level programs (Gym & Swim and Junior Dolphins) are specifically designed for swimmers who enjoy the water and can complete a length of our dive tank, which is about 15 metres, unassisted. Our emphasis is on establishing stroke technique in a fun and challenging environment.

If your child loves to swim and is ready to take the next step up from a lesson program or playing around in your backyard pool Winskill Dolphins is the way to go.

We are always open to new members
Swimmers are welcome to join our team at any time. From Junior Dolphins to Regional and up we have programs  running  from September through July .   For an assessment please contact Coach Erin Taylor at erin@winskilldolphins.org and we will happily set a time up to suit your needs!

Officially Registration Days happen on Sept 12, 2012 from 4-6pm  and Sept 15, 2012 from 10am-12noon at Winskill Aquatic and Fitness Center.  However, registration is on-going throughout the year, September to April.  If you’re interested in joining our club, or participating in a camp, but you missed a Registration Day please contact erin@winskilldolphins.org

New Swimmer Assessments 101

a. Book an assessment
Assessments will be held on Registration Days (Sept 12th & 15th).  To schedule an assessment outside after Registration Days, please contact
erin@winskilldolphins.org

b. What to wear?
Swimmers must come to the assessment session ready to swim. This includes:

  • Proper swim training attire. Baggy shorts or ’beach wear’ are discouraged, if you do not own anything else don’t buy a suit as you’ll receive one on registration.
  • Goggles
  • A swim cap if your child’s hair is long enough to get in their eyes.
c. Where to go?
Winskill Dolphins Swim Club runs all new swimmer assessments out of Winskill Aquatic and Fitness Centre.

c. What to expect?
Evaluations will determine if the child is ready for organized swimming, and which of our training groups would be most appropriate for them. All activities are age appropriate and simulate what athletes will experience in actual sessions.

Special camps available annually
Interested in bushing up on your swimming skills or getting a competitive edge before the start of race season?  Winskill Dolphins Swim Club holds annual Stroke Development Camps between March and May and Junior Dolphins Summer Camps between May and July.  Information on these specialty camps becomes available closer to the camp start dates.  To register for any of our Camps or Clinics contact camps@winskilldolphins.org
