A great place for young swimmers to learn to swim and get introduced to competitve strokes! Swimmers learn about coordination, body awareness, the four swim strokes, and other basic competitive skills in a fun team environment with little emphasis placed on time performances.
JD groups train two or three times per week, practicing approximately 60 minutes per session - 15 minutes on dry land and 45 minutes in the water.
Winskill Dolphins host an annual meet in March, this is a regional level meet and all the swimmers are expected to participate in the event. Each family is asked to help out with the organization and facilitation of the weekend, it is usually a great time to get to know some of your teammates.
The Junior Dolphins program is a great introduction to swimming and team sport for kids. Under the guidance of knowledgable coaches, JD provides the ideal platform for future water safety, physical recreation, stroke education, and pathways into competitive racing.
